How is a really good mentor like? Which kind of experiences did I have with my (legal) guardian? In which contexts do I wish for support? What is important for me, what works well, what hasn’t worked out so far? Young people meet up regularly from February to the end of April 2018 to work on a creative film together. Some of them still search for a voluntary legal guardian or a mentor, others already have this experience of being mentored by a volunteer because they found a person with the help of “Fluchtraum e.V.”, an organisation that is specialized in connecting young refugees and mentors. The different perspectives, opinions and needs as well as the ideas of the young group are on the fore of this project! An exceptional way of realising the film is very hoped-for – suiting our slogan UNEXPECTED!

Besides a hopefully thrilling discussion in the group and a lot of time for experimenting with camera, sound and storytelling, there will be two intensive workshops for learning techniques of filmmaking – from the handling of a camera to the editing of video films. In between the group produces their own film – self-organized and supported by Bremer Jugendring.
